Harness racing is coming to Taupo for the first time ever.

For the first time in history, the trots are rolling into Taupo for a fun, relaxed race day at Taupo Racecourse on Auckland Anniversary Day – Monday 26 January.

Expect fast-paced racing, a laid-back on-course vibe, food trucks, a public bar and plenty to keep the kids entertained, including face painting, games and free kids packs.

With free entry and a family-friendly atmosphere, it’s the perfect excuse to round up the family, pack a picnic (just no BYO alcohol) and enjoy a great summer day out.
